The Season 5 Competitive Rewards have been revealed Rocket League Season 5 is approaching the edge of space on March 9 when the season comes to an end. You do not need to have participated in the original to participate in the Second Chance tournament. There is also a Second Chance tournament that is scheduled for 15 minutes after the original tournament, but you cannot enter it if you lose in the first round by a tiebreaker with the least shots on the goal or by a coin flip. Supersonic Legend In late 2020, Psyonix announced that expansion of the Rocket League rank system to include tiers within the previously highest Grand Champion rank, and atop it the new summit, Supersonic Legend. Similar to past seasons, Season 5 Rewards will also grant Titles for players at the Grand Champion and Supersonic Legend Rank. The Tournament Rewards system lets players earn Tournament Credits if they perform well in the brackets, which can be spent on Cups (the Tournament equivalent of Drops) which give players exclusive in-game items from a pool of Tournament Rewards. Make sure you complete your ten placement matches to be placed in a Rank, and then fulfill your appropriate Season Reward Level at that rank (10 wins for each Rank beginning with Bronze). The system was released in Patch v1.43 on April 3, 2018, and revamped in the September 2020 Free To Play update. The Tournaments mode allows players to compete in automatically scheduled 3v3 brackets, in order to earn rewards.
